We have a long history here in Williamson County, and it all began with a little girl coming before a juvenile court judge with no place to go...
Teen boys often arrive here broken and confused. Our goal with our re-vamped therapeutic program is that boys start making positive changes that include accepting responsibility for their actions, changing outbursts into calmer conversations, and begin deciding not to use their fists to resolve issues. Often they will develop interests and dreams that they did not envision previously in their survival mode. Our ultimate goal is always reunification if it is safe and in the best interest of the child.
We don't always know how these boys' lives change after being here, and sometimes they don't for years to come. But we do know many do change, and some come back to share their successes with us, and that is our great reward.
