Lunch + Learn sponsored by Thrivent

Our first ever Lunch + Learn was a great success. We had just over 30 in-person attendees and many more join us online for our Facebook Live event. Juanda Moore, our executive program director, spoke at length about our therapeutic approach to changing the behaviors of our residents. She gave several examples of what that looks like and how much more effective it is than a more punitive approach. She touched on the new Save, Spend, Share financial literacy program we are rolling out with the help and support of Thrivent. Thrivent's own Garrett Dickerson went a little more in-depth as to how Thrivent came to partner with My Friend's House, and what we hope to accomplish in this endeavor. Attendees were treated to a Chick-fila lunch provided by Thrivent.
